Beaches of El Salvador!

There is no better place in the world than visiting the black sand beaches of El Salvador. Is amazing to be on the Costa del Sol and walk barefooted on the soft and warm sandy beach. If you have never experience something like it, this is a great time to visit El Salvador. Flights to El Salvador range from $390 to $500 per person during the time of March and August, the sooner you book your flight the better price you'll get. El Salvador's Mountains!

El Salvador Mountains!
The Picture on the side was taken in Monte Cristo's park, is called the Tree of Love, you will know why?

One of the most amazing mountains and highest peak of El Salvador I have visited, was the mountain of Monte Cristo. This mountain is called the "Christ's Bush", located in Metapan, Santa Ana in El Salvador. The highest peak of Monte Cristo is called the " El Trifinio" in English, "three ends", was named after knowing that three different countries borders lay on this highest peak which are El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. We made it to the top a little before 3pm. I was one of the first one from the pack to arrive to the destination of "El Trifinio", it was beautiful. The overlook of the mountains, mist and fog was amazing!
The Mountain of Monte Cristo has also a wonderful garden of various wild plants and flowers. This place is much like a paradise, very intriguing and unforgettable. There's a camping site halfway at the mountain, were cars and trucks can drive up to. We camp for a night, but if you do ever camp at the mountain of Monte Cristo, make sure you bring lots of blankets and tent for a very cold night.
It was amazing, this is a must when visiting El Salvador!

El Salvador is no longer at War!

El Salvador is no longer at War!

I wanted to take some time and write a little about the history of El Salvador. Many people around the world believe and remember the civil war in El Salvador, with guerrillas fighting the Salvadoran military Army and vice-versa. That was almost 18 years ago, a new generation has been born and many of those people around the world are stuck with the CNN news of the 1980's and early !990's, were we use to see the cruelty and casualties of every war scenes.
I'm determined to let you all know that the War is over, it has been over many years ago, Peace treaties have been signed and the Salvadoran people have been enjoying in PEACE for many years now. You may ask, why is it, that I'm writing about this and trying to justify a country like El Salvador? Well, very simple, the news hardly mentioned the great things of a country unless is in the Travel Channel, but in reality the only news of a country is when something bad has happened.
I lived in El Salvador in the years between 1993-1996 were things were just transitioning from the 12 year war. I experienced a country with will to succeed and prosper. We have seen it over and over, when El Salvador has had an Earthquake and the quickness of its recovery as a country has been amazing.
I, invite you to learn more of El Salvador's culture and places to visit. You can have a vacation to the fullest, visit the entire 14 states of El Salvador. El Salvador retain its Independence from Spain in 1821 and ever since has been an allied to the United States of America. I hope this brief summary has given you all a feel of what El Salvador is all about and give it a tried next time you are looking for a sunny, beaches, surfing, hiking, water rafting, volcano sightseeing and city night life vacation, think of El Salvador as your next choice, you won't regret it!
